In the first half of 2011, 101 new offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 348 MW were connected to the UK, Germany and Norway.
At present, 11 gross capacity of 2,844 megawatts of offshore wind farms in Europe are under construction, with a total value of 8.5 billion euros. Its average offshore wind turbine specification is 3.4 megawatts, which is an average increase of 0.5 megawatts from the specifications of offshore wind turbines in the first half of last year.
The chief officer of the European Wind Energy Association stated: “The offshore wind power industry has some positive trends, but we have yet to reach our goal. The offshore wind power industry is facing a financial crisis, but it is still facing a potentially deteriorating general economic crisis. Investing in offshore wind farm banks The number is steadily increasing, although we need to continue to attract more and more large-scale institutional offshore wind farm investors.
