Grape maturity management

      1 The varieties of grapes picked in batches at the right time are different, and the maturity period is not the same. When picking, according to different situations, different measures are taken. The ripe grapes are shiny, the flesh is transparent, and there is a thick layer of powder cream. The flavor is tan and the seeds are brown. If the picking is too early, the acidity is too high, which affects the quality. If the picking is too late, the fruit tastes light and is not resistant to storage and transportation. Therefore, timely picking and batching are the key to ensuring the quality of the grapes. It is most suitable for picking after drying in the morning on a sunny day.

　　 2 pay attention to drought prevention and cooling in the picking stage, in case of long-term high temperature or no rain, the fruit and leaves are easy to shrink, affecting plant growth and flower bud differentiation. Therefore, it is possible to use the inter-row grass to reduce the ground temperature, and at the same time pay attention to timely and appropriate irrigation. The irrigation should adopt the annular furrow irrigation method, that is, digging a wide ditch outside the canopy to pour water into it.

　　 3 The timely application of the “harvesting” fat grape ripening stage is the second peak period of its root growth, and it should be fertilized in time. The amount of fertilizer applied accounted for 60 % of the total fertilization in the whole year ; the fertilizer was better with manure, compost, pond mud and other organic fertilizers. At the same time, some urea, ammonium bicarbonate and other quick-acting fertilizers are added. Per acre of vineyard requires administration of 3000 to 4000 kg organic fertilizer, mixed with 30 to 40 kg is applied from 100 to 130 kg of urea or ammonium bicarbonate, to fertilizer, the manure, then the casing, timely irrigation after fertilization. In addition, trimming of the secondary shoots should be stopped during the ripening period.
