Coal prices generally stable in August

In August, the average production price of coal in the main producing province was 714 yuan per ton, a slight increase of 0.31% from July. Among them, the average price of thermal coal is 524 yuan per ton, up 1.30%; the average price of coking coal is 967 yuan per ton, down by 0.39%. The average price of coke produced in the main producing province was 1,506 yuan per ton, which was 1.86% lower than that in July.

The main coal transit port in Qinhuangdao port closed at 678 yuan per ton for thermal coal in August, 1.51% less than in July; the coking coal closed price for coking coal was 1,240 yuan per ton, unchanged from July.
