Selecting the “Get File from Part” command from Figure 15a will log in to the TD PLM system (requires login account name and password), and the TD PLM system window shown in Figure 15b will appear. Part information (preview, code, name, life cycle, version, etc.), after placing the “√” in front of the selected part, select the “Import” command, so that the selected part will automatically enter the ThinkDesign software model integration. In the environment (as shown in Figure 15b), the assembly of the parts is followed by the assembly function of the ThinkDesign software.

Since the TD PLM system belongs to the category of product data management, it will not be described in detail. However, because TD PLM is a Web-based product lifecycle management system, designers can use the enterprise LAN to carry out internal collaborative design work; use the Internet network to carry out collaborative design work in different places.

4. Conclusion

From 2D CAD drawing to 3D parametric CAD modeling, it is the direction for enterprises to deepen the application of CAD technology. When enterprises apply 3D CAD software, they will also put forward the requirements of deepening 3D CAD application. In summary, the analysis leads to a conclusion.
