Taiwan Machine Tool "Research and Development of Innovative Products" Awards Announced
After the end of the second day of the "Taipei International Machine Tool Show", the award ceremony for the third "Machine Development and Innovation Products" competition in Taiwan Province was held. Far East Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. won the WVL-F24A vertical aluminum wheel processing machine. Special prizes (detailed list of winners are as follows).
The competition was jointly sponsored by the Taiwan Tool Machine Development Foundation, the Taiwan Machine Industry Association and the Taiwan Foreign Trade Development Association. The participating products were divided into three categories: integrated processing machines, NC lathes and other CNC machine tools. One prize and three masterpieces for one project; at the same time, one special prize will be selected in all of the above CNC machine tools. There were 46 entries, 84% more than the 25 in the previous (2005). Among them, there are 15 comprehensive processing machines, 13 CNC lathes and 18 other CNC machine tools.
Wang Weizhong, a professor of the Department of Dynamic Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University in Taiwan, who led the 11-member jury, said that the development trend of Taiwan's machinery industry is moving toward high speed, high precision and high efficiency.
